Apple iPhone 4 - a beautiful piece of hardware with state of the art engineering - thinner than the iPhone 3G, faster processor, and an upgraded display. Another major difference in its architecture is the beautiful glass finishing on the back of the iPhone 4. Apple have made claims that the its new iPhone 4 screen is “chemically strengthened to be 20 times stiffer and 30 times harder than plastic” and it’s “ultradurable and more scratch resistant than ever.”
A post from Gizmodo staff suggests otherwise. The back glass of his iPhone 4 shattered after it slipped out of his fingers:
How unfortunate! And it was only after a few hours of use. (we are terribly sorry to hear of your story, Ryan).
So although you might be reluctant to cover that beautiful all-glass design on your iPhone 4, perhaps it is best that you check out some of the cases and covers that GadgetGear has available to protect your latest investment.
What's on your mind? Does this make you cling on dearly to your existing iPhone 3G, and put off your purchase of the new iPhone 4? Leave us a comment and let us know what you think…
