I was very impressed with the sega portable gopher, screen quality is crisp,
sound is a litlle distorted on some games , but does not phase , battery life on rechargable lasts up to 7 hrs from 2.5 hr charge, the SD card is bonus to expansion of extra games, this has brought back so many memories from my younger days and i recommend this to all ages. Brilliant, the delivery was fast, no problems at all (Posted on 10/12/10)

I still own my Megadrive from the good old pixel days and still play it with my 7 year old son. I bought this for both of us and I'm sure he will be as delighted with it as I am.
Positives;
Good game selection, however, the main selling point is you can add more games using an SD card. I've tested about 30 games and all work perfectly. The screen has perfect clarity and I haven't noticed any motion blur when testing Sonic which is probably the fastest game on the console. The game selection screen shows game images alongside the game titles, but it could have been better designed, but I guess they have gone for a retro feel. You can also connect the console to your TV.
Negatives;
Built quality could be better, could have been manufactured using sturdier plastics, but it's perfectly acceptable considering the price. I haven't figured out how to add screen grabs of games to the SD card, jpgs don't show, so you have to rely on reading the game title which isn't ideal for younger children.
To sum up,it's a great purchase. Also, please note the product image shown alongside the description is not the Gopher console, it's a cheaper version without the SD card support, so don't be put off as this is definitely the Gopher console. (Posted on 7/28/10)
